It can be a bit depressing to see a big fat zero next to the elite status tracker in your frequent flier profile at the start of the year. But a few bonus miles from these promotions can help put a smile back on your face.

Earn 1,000 Delta SkyMiles for partner activities. Delta has loads of mileage partners — and not just of the flying variety. A promotion valid until Feb. 29 offers members 1,000 miles for earning SkyMiles with two of Delta’s non-flying partners. This could include purchasing something with a Delta SkyMiles American Express card, buying items through SkyMilesShopping.com, or earning through SkyMiles Dining. This is an easy chance for 1,000 miles by doing things that you might normally do anyway.
