Crazy things happen on airplanes: people go into labor, pilots come close to active volcanos, and drunken shenanigans ensue. It’s no wonder former heavyweight boxing champion David Haye went into fight mode recently when he heard a passenger scream aboard an Emirates flight out of Birmingham. The cause of the commotion: a mouse.
Crew scurried about the cabin for 30 minutes trying to capture the creature that ended up sneaking out of an air vent. After all the ruckus, the Dubai-bound flight got canceled and the passengers had to overnight before departing the next day. Despite the inconvenience, Haye seemed more concerned about teaching a lesson to the guy who screamed, and he took his opinions to social media, stating on Instagram:
I was hoping [the man] was screaming at a terrorist holding a box cutter, waiting for me to dish out a Hayemaker, but all it was was a tiny little mouse … As I walk off flight I’m gonna give the b*tch a** fella a slap, and really give him a reason to scream!!
Other than criticizing the screaming guy, Haye was also quick to ask for local travel recommendations for his unexpected evening in Birmingham.
